Las aventuras de Pinocho

$16.99

Pinocchio's journey through life to become fully human is one we all share. Collodi contrasts childhood, through the character of the mischievous, carefree and selfish puppet, with that of adulthood, where one is held accountable and responsible in community with others. Pinocchio chides himself for being naughty, but his rebellious nature always prevails. He suffers the severest punishments and longs to be a "proper boy," but time after time he ignores the warnings of the Blue Fairy, the talking Cricket and many other talking animals sent to warn him. Collodi masterfully blends elements of fantasy and realism into the story using talking animals, a helpful blue-haired fairy and her creator, the poor 19th century Italian carpenter.
